About Us
Mummy’s Day Out (MDO Gives Back CIC) was founded in 2015 by Rachael aka the main ‘MDO Mama’. Upon giving birth to her first child Rachael wanted to bring all the new mothers around her together for a little bit of mum fun with a difference, offering a comfortable environment for mothers to do nice things with their children in tow thus breaking the feeling of isolation that many mothers experience when transitioning into motherhood and for those who struggle to find childcare.
Rachael wanted to create a space where mothers would feel empowered, encouraged, and inspired; a space where mothers would have the chance to relax, have fun and make new Mummy friends. Over time this evolved into hosting Netwalking Mama meet-ups, afternoon teas, family fun days, Mum 2 Mumpreneur events, and parent workshops.
Our community offers a supportive environment for mums to share their experiences, seek support, and make new friends.
Our Mothers
Our ever-growing network includes first-time mums, mothers of teenagers, and even mothers of 4. The diverse range of women are friendly and are engaged for the same purpose – to socialise and network. Several mothers have made life-long friendships from attending our events and their children have made friends too.
Many of our mothers are mums in business aka ‘mumpreneurs’ or aspiring mums in business who we support this by offering opportunities for mums to promote themselves to our large network and network at or Mum 2 Mumpreneur events.
Our Events
Our child-friendly events range from afternoon tea events that have an attendance of 40 + mothers and their babies/children, free ‘netwalking’ and Mum 2 Mumpreneur business meetings. Our events receive good attendance in all weather conditions and are hosted events across London and surrounding areas.
In addition to this MDO runs a WhatsApp group of over 120 mothers both in the UK and abroad. Providing a space, to ask questions, share information and have a general chit chat.
We have worked with many businesses such as Kiddylicious, Rude health, House of Azurra, Boo.b Smoothie and Cantu to name a few. Our goody bags are jam-packed with useful items for both mum and the entire family.
